Avoided Costs (for Net Metered Services)

Availability

Available to all customers with a qualifying contractual generating resource up to and including 25 kW or a net metered service resulting in a net metered flow of 25 kW maximum into BLEC’s system, at any time.

Type of Service

Available to all services BLEC offers.

Monthly Rate

Customer shall pay the Electric System Charge as classified in their rate schedule, and any other charges as specified in the appropriate rate class they are classified in.

Terms of Payment

The above rates are net. Penalties will be assessed in accordance with established rules and regulation.

Avoided Costs

For the purpose of calculating the avoided cost in crediting a net metering customer, the Cooperative shall use the projected avoided wholesale cost of power. The avoided cost will be paid to the customer for any energy flowing into BLEC’s system net of all other flows for the month.
