Blachly-Lane Electric Co-op is offering the trip of a lifetime to one deserving high school junior. If you currently are a high school junior and your parents/guardians are Blachly-Lane Electric Co-op members, you could be selected to represent Blachly-Lane at the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association’s Youth Tour in                    Washington, DC, June 18 – 24, 2022.

Youth Tour Details

This opportunity is specifically for junior class students.

While in Washington, DC, Youth Tour representatives participate in National Youth Day, you will visit with your representative and senators and explore monuments and sights around the nation’s capital. You will meet other rural electric co-op student representatives from across the nation, and learn about electric cooperatives, American history, and U. S. government. In the end, you’ll come home with a greater understanding of your role as a citizen, and with many new friends.

Students travel with two chaperones and fellow students from their state, and will interact with many other students from around the U. S. who are representing their electric co-ops.
