Pole Testing by Osmose Contractor

Date posted: 2010-03-01

Osmose Utilities Services has been contracted by Blachly-Lane to inspect, test, and in some cases treat the wood utility poles serving power to its members. These tests and treatments are part of an on-going maintenance program governed by the Oregon PUC and sound utility maintenance practices.

They are testing and treating poles out of the Alderwood substation along Lawrence Road. The crew should be here for around 3 weeks and will be parking at the lot at the Alderwood substation.

Your cooperation with Osmose it greatly appreciated. If you have any concerns or questions please do not hesitate to discuss them with our contractor or contact our office and we will be happy to address those concerns or questions with you.

Our number is 541-688-8711, Please ask for Matt Smith or Greg Gardner.

Rate Adjustment effective January 1, 2010

Date posted: 2009-01-07

Costs at the Cooperative are continuing to increase, like they are for everyone else. We have elected to have a small increase adjustment this coming year, 2010. The Directors have approved a rate increase to the present revenue of approximately 2% effective with the January usage for 2010. This increase will be included on the billing mailed February 5th.
The adjustment for each customer class and usage level will vary, but the average revenue increase will be about 2% except for the 3-phase Commercial Class.
Recent cost of service studies show revenues for the 3-phase Commercial Class have fallen short of meeting their contribution to margins, resulting in a need for a larger adjustment.

Rate adjustments are listed below:
